Elisabeth Kumm
Elisabeth is a founding member of the Victoria Theatres Trust. Her series Pets of the Public was a regular feature of On Stage from 1999 to 2005, looking at “forgotten” nineteenth century performers. She continues to contribute articles for the THA website, and from 2018 has been editor of the THA Newsletter. As a theatrical historian and biographer she assisted Viola Tait with her book on pantomime – Dames, Principal Boys…and All That (published by Macmillan in 2001) and also worked with her on her memoirs I Have a Song to Sing (published by THA in 2018). Elisabeth has also undertaken research for the Riley/Hailes Scrapbook and JCW Scene Books projects. Most recently she has been working on the Falk Studios album project including acting as editor of The Falk Studios book (published by THA in 2021).

English operatic vocalist (tenor). Born 27 February 1868, Colne, England. Son of Joseph Harrison and Martha Brown. Married Margaret Capstick, 8 October 1907, Colne, England. Died 19 March 1929.
Performed in Australia with Ada Crossley in 1908 and with Thomas Quinlan's opera company in 1912.

American operatic vocalist (soprano). Née Julia Susannah Wallack. Born c.1825, Washington, USA. Daughter of Henry Wallack (actor) and Fanny Jones. Sister of James William Wallack (actor). Married William Hoskins (actor), 1842, Medway, England. Died 19 August 1872, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, aged 47.
Member of the famous American Wallack theatre family. On stage in England and Australia. Studied singing with Manuel Garcia. Arrived in Australia in 1856 as a member of an operatic touring party that included Walter Sherwin, Robert Farquharson and Linley Norman. Retired in 1868 to take up teaching.

Russian pianist. Born 1 June 1879, Boguchar, Russia. Brother of Boris Hambourg (cellist) and Jan Hambourg (violinist). Married Dorothea Muir Mackenzie (violinist). Died 26 August 1960, Cambridge, England. Father of Michal Hambourg (pianist).
In England from 1889. First visited Australia in 1895 and then for J&N Tait in 1908.
