14th THA Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the 14th Annual General Meeting of Theatre Heritage Australia Inc. will be held on Saturday 27 May 2023 at the Melbourne Athenaeum Library, Level 1, 188 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC. The AGM will also be streamed via Zoom.

Special Guest speaker – Mary Lou Jelbart AM

Mary Lou JelbartMary Lou Jelbart is the Artistic Director of fortyfivedownstairs, the not for profit contemporary art gallery and theatre venue in the Melbourne Central Business District.

Mary Lou was a broadcaster with ABC Radio National, and earlier Radio Australia. For over 20 years she presented programmes on the visual and performing arts to an audience around Australia and overseas.

She has reviewed theatre and visual arts for ABC radio, and print media, including the leading Melbourne newspapers, The Age and The Herald Sun

She was the founder of the St. Kilda Festival (1983), and St Kilda Film Festival, (1984) Australia’s first and leading short film festival, which is now screened nationally. In 2015 Mary Lou was inducted to the Victorian Honour Roll for Women and in 2021 received an Order of Australia award for significant service to the performing and visual arts, and to the community.

 

This is a free event – all THA members & their guests are welcome.

If you are attending VIA ZOOM, the link to the ZOOM meeting will only be sent to those who have RSVPd by the closing date. The ZOOM link will be sent on Wednesday 24 May 2023.

What is ZOOM?

ZOOM is a web-based video conferencing tool that allows users to meet online, with or without video.

How do I join a meeting?

You can join a meeting by clicking the meeting link or going to join.zoom.us and entering in the meeting ID provided by the meeting organiser.

Alternatively, you can join the meeting via audio only by simply dialling in on your phone, using the phone number provided by the meeting organiser.

Do I need an account to use ZOOM?

A ZOOM account is not required if you are simply joining a ZOOM meeting as a participant. However you will need to download the free ZOOM software to join a meeting. A link to the software will be provided in the meeting invitation.

If joining the meeting by phone, you do not need to download the software.

Do I need a webcam to join on ZOOM?

While you are not required to have a webcam to join a ZOOM meeting, you will not be able to transmit video of yourself. You will continue to be able to listen and speak during the meeting, share your screen, and view the webcam video of other participants.
