Dianna Nixon
We’re delighted to announce our forthcoming event with Dianna Nixon on 24 August 2025 at the Seaborn, Broughton & Walford Foundation in partnership with Theatre Heritage Australia.
Dianna Nixon is a genre-diverse pianist, singer, actor, director and creative producer who has completed work for major festivals, with state opera and theatre companies, smaller independent companies, and in community-based projects. Awarded a Churchill Fellowship for her work with the developing voice, Dianna runs a voice and piano studio alongside her creative work. Examples of voice and accent coaching in the past decade include works for theatre, preparing choirs and opera choruses, as well as screen dialect coaching, and corporate and government coaching. As accompanist Dianna particularly enjoys working with singers and playing for ballet. Dianna has directed over 75 works. She founded the not-for-profit creative production company, Music Theatre Projects in 2019. Music Theatre Project’s slate includes reclaiming the plays of Millicent Armstrong (a largely forgotten early 20th century playwright from our region), two musicals in development, and MTP is establishing a youth music theatre pathways program.
Join us at 2.30pm at SB&W on 24 August 2025 for The Stage on Sunday, a joint program with the Foundation and Theatre Heritage Australia.
All are welcome. This event is free but bookings are essential and must be made through SB&W.
